5 1 sound ac97

this might have already been covered, but.... i have excellent stereo 2.1 sound with the NGOHQ driver, but cant seem to find a driver that supports 5.1 sound. the option is there but it does not recognize the speakers. and yes the speakers are analog not digital. does anyone have 5.1 sound using the onboard AC97 chip?

My 5.1 speakers are working. I'm using the ALC650 driver, though it's not realy working right. I have the ALC 850 chip and the driver I have is for the ALC650. The ALC 850 driver isn't ready for realease yet....according to RealTek. The Nvidia driver just leaves me with 2 channel stereo.

What do you mean its not really working right? Intermitent sound, crackly sound..... what exactly! Im using the modified NGIHQ driver and it works greatthe catch is they only work on 2.1 sound. the driver does not recognize the speaker jacks. It does give me the option for 5.1 but makes no difference.
